Mighty Girl Bookshelf

One of our most rewarding projects is when Soroptimist International Palm Desert empowers girls through education and reading.

Last Year we established our first “Girl Power” corner in one of our local elementary schools. Filling the shelves with both empowering and dynamic stories that provide good role models for young girls.

This year we have a goal to achieve the same in two more local elementary schools, providing books that are both fun and motivating for K through 6th grade students.

When we donated over 100 math and science books to the library at Westside Elementary in Thermal, CA, the students wasted no time diving into these exciting new books with curiosity as they explored the worlds of math and science.  It was wonderful to see them embracing learning. 

As we inspire students to reach for the stars, we are building a brighter future, one book at a time!
